That moment, the end

That moment
when he smiles,
looks you in the eye,
and
(with a straight face)
tells you who you are

That moment
when he mistakes
how much you care
what he does
or
does not
think

That moment
when you
almost
tell him, but
choose
simply
to smile back

(Your words
will not be heard;
best to preserve
them
for those
willing
to hear them)

That moment,
the end;
but,
equally,
the beginning
of something
(inevitably)
better

Beautiful. Now, I will just peel back your words line by line. Kind of like deeply entwined relationships–there’s always more to be stripped away.

I do get rather a lot of consolation from the thought that every ending is a beginning.

Reading the words, I appreciate the poetry. Interpreting the words and what they may mean in your life, makes me sad.

Please know this is not about me and Anthony, who don’t get much wakeful time together these days but are doing well (somehow) regardless. ♥

Lovely, but sad. Hope all is well.

Lovely, bittersweet poem…sending good karma your way, my friend.
