Mermen can’t stand. Or can they? 

Teenaged Elelu can and must stand after his people are mysteriously decimated. 

On land, Elelu is able to escape the silence left in destruction’s wake. But even with the help of a reluctant new friend, Elelu soon finds Florence, Oregon is not as safe–for him–as it first seems. 

On March 29, 2011, I wrote an entry entitled “I’m the boss, guys.” I still believed this.

A month later, I accepted the fact that my outline was its own standalone work of fiction. Embracing that allowed me to love learning the real story, which I did at a rate of about 8,000 words per month.

Elelu is the working title for this novel, which I expect to rename to something more fitting later. Alien Robot Pandas VERSUS Tulsa, Oklahoma has a nice ring to it, don’t you agree?
