My Review:
I couldn't put it down. Deborah has an amazing writing style that I absolutely fell in love with after just a few sentences. Her descriptions are well thought out and extremely vivid which in turn leads the reader into her world with ease.
Talk about starting my day off right! Thanks to Valerie King for this fabulous, frank review of my first novel.
Reading this gave me the boost I needed to actually edit the book's sequel this morning, instead of merely opening the document and then moving on to peruse Facebook. (Guilty!)

I seriously cannot wait for the sequel! Yes, please keep working on those edits!
So good Deborah…really, you have a very unique style of writing that just pulled me in. I read a LOT. But, this was just so great. Best book I’ve read in a long time. I neglected my own novel just to finish yours. And I am A-OK with that.
I think I’ve just reached the tipping point where I’m thinking of this as a “rewrite” instead of a “revision.” The book will be much better for it, but it sure took me long enough to accept this as necessary!
Thank you so much for getting that fire rekindled! Thank you, thank you, thank you. ♥
Edit! Edit! Cut! Revise!
Yes, ma’am! *salute*
Seriously, after talking to you yesterday, I thought of a half-dozen things that tighten up the story I’m writing. It got me super excited to sit down and do my evening edits, which isn’t something I’ve felt in a while. Thanks for that!
Also? Editing in my brain makes editing on the page so, so much easier.
Good for you, Deb!
Thanks, Peg! This spurred still another awesome review, which has been really helpful getting me jazzed about the sequel. I am so thankful for folks who take the time out to share the books they’ve loved, and why. Also kind words here. ♥
Great review. Reading it made me reminisce of my TMD-reading days and long for the sequel!
It is still so amazing to me that I wrote something that people not only purchased but, in some cases, actually finished reading and enjoyed. And you know what? I wouldn’t know that or get to savor the wonder of it but for their letting me know. Which I’m so grateful you did, then and again now. You rock, and I’m hard at work on the sequel the last couple of weeks!
Congratulations. What a lovely boost to your day.
It’s been a boost to the last several days, as it happens! Valerie’s review caused a clear and lovely surge in interest in the book, which has been a gift upon a gift.
Keep it up… you’ll soon be there.
